Prayer Renouncing Sins, Repentance and Forgiveness

"Lord Jesus, I come before You today with a humble heart, acknowledging my need for Your mercy. I confess my sins, including the pride that lifts me up, the envy and jealousy that make me resent others, the sloth that leads to laziness, the gluttony and vanity that seek earthly satisfaction, and the lust that corrupts my mind and body.  I ask that You cleanse my heart with Your Most Precious Blood, washing away all the stains of sin. Please uproot every evil and sinful attitude that is contrary to Your love, and set me free from the bondage of these sins.  Help me to live in the freedom of Your children, transforming me by the renewing of my mind. I surrender all my anger, frustration, pride, and hatred at the foot of Your cross, and I ask that You fill me with Your peace and love.  Thank You for Your forgiveness and for the new life You offer me. In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray. Amen".
