Prayer for Freedom, Purity, and Spiritual Protection
Heavenly Father, I come before You trusting in Your mercy and power. You are the Creator of my body and soul, and You desire my freedom, peace, and holiness.
In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, I renounce every influence that draws me away from You—all temptation, lust, infidelity, misuse of sexuality, and every bond that does not come from Your will.
Lord Jesus, heal my heart from wounds, confusion, and unhealthy attachments. Cleanse my mind of impure thoughts and images. Restore my dignity, self-control, and inner peace through the power of Your Cross and Resurrection.
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your light and truth. Strengthen me to live in purity, faithfulness, and love. Protect me as I sleep and when I am awake. Let no darkness, fear, or deception have place in me.
Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, guardian of purity, and Saint Michael the Archangel, guard me in body, mind, and soul.
I place my life, my relationships, and my future entirely in God’s hands. Lord, You alone are my refuge and my strength. Amen.
To be freed from incubus and succubus spirits, often referred to as "husbands and women of the night" in a spiritual context, individuals typically engage in specific prayers of repentance, renunciation, and deliverance, often rooted in Christian spiritual warfare practices. These prayers aim to break perceived spiritual ties, revoke covenants, and command these spirits to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.
The process generally involves several key steps:
Repentance: The first step is to repent of any personal or ancestral sins that may have opened doors to these spirits. This includes idolatry, sexual sins (such as masturbation, fornication, adultery, and other forms of sexual impurity), and involvement with occult practices like witchcraft, soothsayers, or tarot card readers. Repentance is seen as a way to receive forgiveness and cleanse oneself and one's generational line.
Renunciation and Breaking Covenants: Individuals are encouraged to renounce any covenants, pacts, or allegiances made with evil spirits, either personally or through their ancestors. This includes renouncing "spirit husbands" or "spirit wives" and any associated spiritual marriages, dowries, or properties. The goal is to declare oneself married to Jesus Christ and to nullify any claims these spirits have.
Casting Out Spirits: Following repentance and renunciation, prayers are directed at commanding the incubus and succubus spirits to leave. This is typically done "in the name of Jesus Christ," asserting the authority believed to be granted to believers. Prayers often include specific commands for the spirits to depart from the body, soul, emotions, environment, and even from children and future generations.
Applying the Blood of Jesus and the Armor of God: The "blood of Jesus" is invoked for cleansing, protection, and to cancel evil marks or writings. Believers are also advised to "put on the full armor of God" as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, which includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (the Word of God). This is seen as a spiritual defense against further attacks.
Restoration and Filling with the Holy Spirit: After deliverance, prayers focus on purification, cleansing, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. The aim is to restore innocence, increase love for God, and enable faithfulness and intimacy with Christ. This also involves putting one's will, emotions, mind, and body under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Continuous Prayer and Faith: Maintaining freedom is emphasized through continuous prayer, strong faith, and standing firm on God's promises. This includes seeking God's peace, trusting in His protection, and resisting the devil.
These practices are often associated with deliverance ministries within certain Christian denominations that believe in active spiritual warfare against demonic entities.
Nights Husbands and wives are demons to which humans are linked because of their sins, their occult practices or for other reasons. They act on them by sexual relations during the night. These demons can take a male form (incubus) or female (succubus) and infest the life of the person. We have an example of this in the Book of Tobit, where the demon of lust, Asmodeus is linked to Sarah and causes the death of all her successive human husbands before the archangel Raphael come to chase him.
We present below a prayer that comes from the book of Jean Pliya, « from darkness to light », p 31920, 5th ed., Saint Paul, 2002 :
To begin to say the Litany to the Archangel Raphael, and the Litany of Our Lady of Deliverance.
By the intercession and support of St. Raphael the Archangel, of my Guardian Angel, of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus, of St. Benedict and St. Joseph by the precious blood of Jesus which I cover me, I take a position for the battle against the demonic forces, against succubus and incubi, evil spirits called « husbands of night » and « women’s night » and against Satan who oppresses me.
PRAYER : In the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, me (say my name), daughter (or son) of Abraham, child of God by the grace of baptism, child of Mary by the will of Jesus. I challenge you, Demon Asmodeus, the Spirit of Jezebel and Mummy Wata, all right on me. I denounce any contract, occult marriage that would bind me to you. By the power of the liberation of the Blood of Jesus, I divorce with you, I untie myself, I break definitively all relations with you. I do not like, I reject any practical action, or contact you impose on my sexual parts in my dreams or when I am awake.
In the Name of Jesus, I take authority over you unclean spirits, who violate my sexual intimacy, who violate my sexual intimacy, block my marriage, make me sterile or disturb the privacy of my family. I push back all impure practices that you impose on me: prostitution, adultery, alcoholism, idolatry of money and sex.
By Christ, who« became a curse for me on the cross» (Gal 3: 13), I break all occult consecrations, all spells or bewitchments weighing on me, all links or satanic oppressions. Asmodeus, spirit of jezebel, mammy wata or Dalila spirit, or other incubus or succubus spirit (say if possible the name of deities or« voodoo» to which you were yourself consecrated), may the blood of the Lamb of God fill you with dread and pulls you away from me! May his blood break any sway you hold on me. Jesus of Nazareth chases you and commands you, and in His Name, I also command you : go away at the foot of the cross of Jesus so that he has you as He wants, and do not come back to oppress me in my private parts, in my body and in my life, because in the Name of Jesus, you are defeated. You no longer have any power over me. Jesus saved me and gave me victory over you.
May the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of blessing and power, fall on me! May the Blood of Jesus Christ keep me in the freedom of God’s children! Amen.
Finish with the prayer of liberation by the spirit of blessing.
