Prayer to break any magic and weaken satanic forces

Updated: Dec 16, 2025

Prayer for Protection and Deliverance from Evil

Almighty and merciful God, You alone are Lord of heaven and earth. Nothing has power over me except what You allow For my good and for Your glory.

If there is anything in my life that does not come from You— Any influence of fear, deception, sin, or darkness— I place it now under the light of Jesus Christ. By the power of His Cross and Resurrection, Cleanse, protect, and restore me.

Lord Jesus, Fill my heart, mind, body, and home with Your peace. Strengthen me against temptation, Free me from anxiety and fear, And weaken every force that seeks to draw me away from You.

Holy Spirit, Cover me with Your light and truth. Renew my trust in God’s love and protection. Let no evil take root where Your grace abounds.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Michael the Archangel, And all the saints, Keep me safe in faith, hope, and love.

I place my life entirely in Your hands, O Lord, For You are my refuge and my strength. Amen.

This prayer must be often said by those who have consulted magus, hypnotists or clairvoyants and/or who have been in contact with the occult world, especially with spiritualism. They will notice their improvement in their own condition on many points as well as the disappearance of links. Note also that the demon who controls the magic does not support the recitation of the Creed.

To break any magic and weaken satanic forces, various Christian prayers and spiritual practices focus on invoking the power of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the intercession of saints to dismantle curses, spells, and demonic influences. These prayers often involve renunciation of evil, claiming divine protection, and asserting spiritual authority granted through faith.

The foundational belief in these practices is that Jesus Christ has already triumphed over evil through his crucifixion and resurrection. Therefore, prayers are often framed as declarations of this victory and an application of Christ's authority to specific situations.

Here's a step-by-step breakdown of common elements and approaches:

1. Acknowledging and Renouncing Evil

The first step often involves explicitly acknowledging the existence of evil forces and renouncing any personal or ancestral involvement with them. This includes:

  • Renouncing curses and spells: Prayers specifically target "curses, hexes, spells, demonic activity, or any other evil thing that has been sent against me or passed down through the generations".

  • Breaking unholy ties: This addresses relationships or connections that may have inadvertently or intentionally opened doors to evil influences, such as involvement in occult practices or "imaginary friends," spirit guides, or ascended masters.

  • Confessing and seeking forgiveness: Acknowledging personal sins that might have created vulnerabilities to evil is crucial, followed by seeking God's forgiveness.

2. Invoking the Power of Jesus Christ and His Blood

Central to these prayers is the invocation of Jesus Christ's name, his sacrifice, and his blood.

  • Authority of Christ: Prayers declare that "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13) and bring "judgment from the throne of Jesus Christ against every foul power, witchcraft, black art, and curse".

  • Blood of Jesus: The "blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ" is brought against "all blood sacrifices and rituals and their every claim". The "Most Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus" is asked to "cleanse me from all these sins I have confessed and renounced, to cleanse my spirit, my soul, my mind, my emotions and every part of my body which has been affected by these sins".

  • Cross of Christ: The power of Christ's cross is invoked to "bind any evil spirits, forces and powers" and to "break any curses, hexes, or spells".

3. Calling Upon the Holy Spirit and Angels

The Holy Spirit is seen as the source of divine power and healing, and angels are petitioned for protection and assistance.

  • Holy Spirit's role: Prayers ask the Holy Spirit to "come and cleanse every place where Satan has had a foothold" and to "fill each cleansed area with the life and love of Our Lord Jesus Christ". The "Fire of the Holy Spirit" is also invoked to bring healing, purification, and sanctification to various parts of the body and mind.

  • Angelic intervention: Angels are asked to "completely disarm all curses and black arts" and to "remove all foul spirits involved in these curses and black arts and bind them to your feet for judgment". Specifically, Saint Michael the Archangel is frequently invoked as a defender against evil

4. Specific Deliverance and Protection Prayers

Many prayers are structured to address particular areas of life or types of demonic influence:

  • Deliverance from oppression: Prayers target "demons of oppression" and seek to reclaim rights and authority over aspects of one's life.

  • Binding prayers: These aim to "bind satan, the spirits, powers and forces of darkness" and "any demonic assignments sent against" individuals or areas.

  • Perimeter prayers: These establish a "perimeter of protection" around individuals, families, and possessions, asking for angels to guard against demonic influence.

  • Generational curses: Prayers specifically address "demons that may have been introduced into my generational line by any one of my ancestors" and seek to block their passage to subsequent generations.

  • Cleansing of senses and body: Prayers ask for the "Most Precious Blood" and the "Fire of the Holy Spirit" to cleanse and heal the memory, imagination, emotions, and all physical senses and systems of the body.

  • Disposing of cursed objects: A detailed process is outlined for blessing, breaking ties with, destroying, and burying objects that may be linked to evil, followed by prayers to break any associated curses.

5. Intercession of Saints

The intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint Michael the Archangel, and other saints is frequently sought for protection and assistance in spiritual warfare. Mary, in particular, is invoked as the "Queen of Heaven" with the power to "crush the head of Satan".

6. Practical Guidelines

It is often recommended that these prayers be said with sincerity, faith, and repentance. For lay individuals, prayers are typically directed to God (deprecatory prayers), though authority is recognized for imperative prayers over oneself, one's spouse, and minor children. In cases of severe demonic infestation, the intervention of a priest is advised.

These practices are rooted in the belief that through faith in Jesus Christ, individuals are empowered to resist and overcome evil forces.

PRAYER :" Our Father, who is in heaven, I love You, I praise You and I adore You. I thank You for having sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has conquered sin and death to save me. I also thank you for having sent the Holy Spirit, who gives me strength, guides me and sanctifies me. I thank you to Mary, my Heavenly Mother, who intercedes for me with the Angels and the Saints.

PRAYER: "Lord Jesus, I prostrate myself at the foot of your Holy Cross and I ask You to cover me with the Precious Blood which gushed out from your Sacred Heart and your holy Wounds. Purify me, O Jesus, by the living water that flowed from your Heart and envelop me in your holy light. Our Heavenly Father, please go back in time and let the water that has washed me in my Baptism go back in time, through my father and my mother's generations, so that my whole family is purified of sin and Satan.

Humbly prostrated before You, O Father, I ask You for forgiveness for myself, for my parents, and my ancestors: for all invocations of occult powers that could have opposed them to You, and offended the honor of the name Jesus.

In the Holy Name of Jesus and by the power of this name, I declare today that I put under the sovereignty of our Lord everything that belongs to me (both material and spiritual) and which was subject to the jurisdiction of Satan.

By the power of your Holy Spirit, show me, O Father, anyone who would need my forgiveness, as well as every sin that I have not confessed. Make me realize what displeased you in my life, and make me know about the breaches that could have given Satan the possibility to enter.

Holy Father, I give You all my unforgiveness. I give You all my sins. I give you all these pathways that have allowed Satan to get into my life. Be thanked for your forgiveness and your love.

Lord Jesus, in your holy Name I bind all evil spirits: of air, water, earth, under the earth, and infernal world; I also bind all spies sent by the headquarters of Satan; and I invoke your Precious Blood on the air, the atmosphere, the water, the land, and its fruits. I command all these evil spirits to go immediately under your feet, without manifesting and without harming me or anyone, so that you may dispose of me according to your Holy Will.

In the Holy Name of Jesus, I break, I shatter, I cancel every curse, betrayal, deviation, and influence of evil spirits, misfortune, hereditary blockage (known or unknown), any enchantment, spell, trap, lie, link, obstacle, prediction, and evil desire, as well as any disorder or illness, regardless of their origin, including my own faults and sins.

In the Name of JESUS, I break the transmission of any satanic desire, link, spiritual attachment, and work of hell.

In the name of JESUS, I cut and sever all possible links (and their consequences) with all astrologers, soothsayers, clairvoyants, mediums, sheiks, fake healers, palm readers, followers of new age, and those who practice the occult or divination in: crystal ball, tea leaves, coffee grounds, cards, tarot cards; and also all links to guide spirits, magicians, witches, and all those engaged in any magics: Voodoo, Macumba, or others. Yes, in the Name of JESUS, I reject and destroy all the consequences and implications that may come from participation in mediumistic or spiritualist sessions, consultations on horoscopes, from the practice of dowsing (pendulum), from automatic writing, and from any kind of recipes or occult preparations, and at last from any kind or form of superstition that does not honor Jesus Christ and does not give the glory due to Him.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory to the Father."
