Undetermined delayed of the " Sharing Oil Movement"

March 5, 2026, Thursday

The clock ticks louder today, or perhaps it's just my anxiety amplifying every second. Our plan to bring comfort and aid to the people of Quiapo, Manila, with blessed oil is facing a few bumps, and it's weighing heavily on my mind.

What started as a clear vision for this Thursday has blurred into an "undetermined date." The first hiccup is the T-shirts. We finally got them, and while the spirit behind them is pure, some of the designs aren't as neatly printed as we'd hoped. It's a small detail, but we want to present something excellent, something that truly reflects the care we put into this initiative. The designed haven't printed well, we bought fabric coloring so we can able to neatly clean the edges of this Tshirt design. Rushing them out would feel like a disservice.

Then there's the prayer booklet. It's an essential part of the package, meant to accompany the oil and offer spiritual sustenance. But it hasn't been delivered yet. I've been making calls, trying to track it down, but so far, no luck. Without it, the distribution feels incomplete. It's like preparing a meal but forgetting the main course.

We initially envisioned this Thursday as the day. The excitement was palpable, the volunteers ready, and the anticipation building. Now, the reality of these delays has set in, and it's clear we need more time. The idea of pushing through with imperfect T-shirts and missing prayer booklets just doesn't sit right. We want this to be a moment of genuine blessing, not a hurried handout.

So, the new target is next Thursday. It gives us a full week to sort out the T-shirt issue, hopefully get the prayer booklets delivered, and ensure everything is meticulously prepared. It's frustrating to delay, especially when you know there are people waiting, people who could benefit from this gesture of kindness and faith. But I also believe that doing things right is more important than doing them fast.

I'll spend the next few days coordinating with the printers for the T-shirts, chasing down the prayer booklets, and rallying the team. We'll use this extra time to refine our process, perhaps even find ways to make the distribution even more impactful. The spirit of generosity remains, even if the timeline has shifted. Quiapo, we're coming, just a little later than planned, and hopefully, with everything in perfect order.
