2nd Liturgical Assembly and Shrine Congress - My Journey

Oct 10, 2026
I woke up extra early today — 3:00 AM — preparing sandwiches to bring along, just in case I got hungry later. I put on that special t-shirt — the very first one I ever made, the one I've been wearing since we first started our Divine Mercy movement, giving out oil and devotional items to others. It felt like wearing a quiet promise of everything we began.

I arrived early at the parish for what I thought was the BEC program. I signed my name on the form, ready and eager. But after the program finished, I felt a little disappointed — I realized I had attended the Liturgical Assembly, not the BEC seminar I was aiming for. I asked one of the staff, and they explained that the BEC was happening at the same time, but in a different location.
It was my first time attending this kind of gathering, and looking back — it wasn't a mistake at all. I learned so much! I discovered other beautiful churches and shrines dedicated to the Divine Mercy that I can visit someday. They shared wonderful advice on how to be a good pilgrim, the proper rules and respect when visiting holy places, and many more insights that truly enriched my heart.
So even though things didn't go exactly as I planned, I'm grateful I went. God led me there for a different reason — and today, I came home with a peaceful heart and new knowledge to carry with me on my spiritual journey.
🕊️ "Lord, You know where I need to be. Even when I take a different path, You are always there to guide me. Amen."

The 2nd Parish Liturgical Assembly & Shrine Congress at the National Shrine and Parish of the Divine Mercy (NSPDM) in Marilao, Bulacan, was a gathering for spiritual renewal and formation.
The event served as a collaborative venue for prayer, learning, and strengthening fellowship among the parish's servant-leaders. It was specifically designed for all liturgical ministers, lay servants, ministries, organizations, and volunteers serving the shrine. The primary goal of the assembly was to deepen their understanding of the Holy Liturgy and enhance their dedication to their respective church duties.
