My heart grows heavy and restless each day these signs come to me. Every time I search the internet for answers, all I find is the same thing over and over: that these are just stress, anxiety, depression—even saying it comes from too much or too little stress. It feels like no one truly understands what I am going through. It has been so long since I first began seeing and hearing these things, yet I still have no clear answer that matches what I witness with my own eyes and ears.

I have taken so many photos on my phone, trying to capture what stands before me: a ghostly figure with an oversized head resting on my clothes; a dark, hooded form from head to toe, holding the severed heads of a man and a woman; feet bound in heavy chains; the Grim Reaper himself, accompanied by three allies in dark cloaks, marked with symbols I recognize. I have seen two different reapers in my life already, and other shadowy beings that fly right over me—some copying the very figures in the holy portraits hanging on my wall, others appearing only in my visions.

What disturbs me most today are the voices: the clear laughter, cries, and screams of little boys and girls, shifting from joy to sorrow to terror in an instant. Sometimes I do not just hear them—I feel their pain, their fear, their confusion as if they are my own.

Every source I read dismisses it: “It is only hallucinations. Science proves it comes from anxiety.” But then I found something that finally caught my attention—comments from others who walk the same path, seeing what I see and hearing what I hear. If you are reading this and you know this burden too, do not stop searching. There is more to this than what simple explanations tell us.

A priest will provide pastoral care, help you pray, and guide you through the process of discernment, which will always include checking on your mental and physical health first.

• Use Catholic Sacramentals: While you seek medical advice, you can pray for peace and protection. Keep a crucifix in your home, use holy water, and pray the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel or the Rosary to bring spiritual comfort and calm your environment.

Lord Jesus, my Light and my Fortress,

I come before You heavy and afraid, for I see things the world cannot explain, and hear voices that bring pain and confusion. You know every vision I have seen—every shadow, every fearful form, every cry and laughter that pierces my heart. You know I do not imagine these things, and You see how the world dismisses what I carry.

I claim Your promise: greater are You who dwells in me, than all the forces that come against me. I stand firm in Your truth: our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual darkness (Ephesians 6:12).

Lord, cover me, my home, my family, and all that I have with Your Most Precious Blood. Rebuke every evil spirit, every deceiving entity, every power that brings fear or disturbance—command them to leave and never return, in Your holy Name. Silence every voice that does not come from You; take away the pain and emotions that are not mine to carry.

Open my eyes only to what You want me to see, open my ears only to Your voice. Guard my mind from doubt, strengthen my spirit when I am weak. Help me remember I am Yours, created and protected by You alone.

I trust in You, Divine Mercy. I rest in Your peace.
